while it’s technically fall, it certainly isn’t in full effect here in northern ca. the mornings are cold, by lunch you’re melting and at the end of the day you’ve worn three different outfits. it’s a laundry nightmare.
a little flannel shacket (shirt/jacket hybrid) is a terrific solution and a excellent alternative to standard issue puffer jackets. layer it over a t-shirt to keep you cozy in the morning, shed it mid-day and reach for it again when the sun goes down. it’s styled perfectly for this transitional period with cropped denim and birks. for fall, keep it buttoned up and just add a lug sole boot like these.
the shacket featured above is by isabel marant etoile and there are also comfy options available from iro, mango, line & dot and this belted version from zara.
